My dear friend Nicole gave me this last year and it helped me to refocus during some very busy work times. At work I was called the Sparrow and I read this note often and take great pleasure in its words, even now that the work days have ended (for now!)...Miss you Nicole x

The Sparrow.

All too often we take the Sparrow for granted - small though she may be she is certainly powerful. She reminds us that we do not have to have the big stuff to be important, and we do not have to have the loudest voice to be heard.
The Sparrow is ever viligant in her goals, she is always bustling for her food, foraging for her nests and gathering for her young. Fastidious and productive, the Sparrow is a reminder that idle hands (and idle minds) should be avoided to live a full and healthy life.
She is a master of flight and camouflage, and as such, the Sparrow teaches us to use our creativity to get around in life - think outside the box and be creative in solving our problems.
As a bird totem, the Sparrow speaks of higher thoughts and ideals. She beckons us to keep our burdens as light as we can in order to avoid a heavy heart.
A sparrow is different from most birds, when they find their soulmate, they stay with them until their life's end.
Sparrow's symbolise; freedom, eternity, luck and innocence. Sparrow's are known for travelling great distances but always returning home.

x
